Job summary

WesBanco in Uniontown, OH seeks an Operations Fraud Specialist to review deposits (mobile, RDC, ATM), check items for fraud, and approve or hold transactions. The role includes evaluating Zelle, External Transfers and transaction monitoring within Digital Banking, and training/implementing process changes with the Fraud team.

You will collaborate with branches and leadership to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with banking regulations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training and guidance to team members on understanding and managing workload.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational plans, policies, procedures, and goals for efficiency.
• Collaborate with peers and leaders to recommend changes for efficiency.
• Foster relationships to ensure collaboration and effective communication within the team.
• Maintain documentation for procedures, processes and job aids; pursue improvements.
• Drive effective use of technology within functional areas.
• Process affidavits for fraud and provisional customer credits; communicate with other banks.
• Review deposits and check items for potential fraud using risk review tools and approve/decline as needed.
• Serve as first line fraud reviewer of In Clearing check items and coordinate with Fraud team when escalation is required.
• Monitor Digital Banking transactions for fraud including Zelle and External Transfers.
