Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Digital Asset Manager to lead the DAM platform for the Proposals Team. You’ll govern metadata, taxonomies, and rights while coordinating with Legal and Communications to resolve high-risk usage questions.

This role requires independent judgment, vendor interaction, and training responsibilities. In this position, you will audit collections, manage asset lifecycle, and drive improvements to ensure accurate, well-organized content across imagery, graphics, video, resumes, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in digital asset management, content or knowledge management
• Experience developing and applying metadata, taxonomy, or cataloging standards
• Experience administering an enterprise DAM or CMS
• Advanced knowledge of DAM concepts, metadata, taxonomies, and asset lifecycle
• Ability to develop governance standards, procedures and workflows
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and workflow issues
• Effective written and verbal communication, training and vendor coordination
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains the DAM platform end to end, including configuration, asset intake, cataloging, permissions, distribution, retention, and archival.
• Develops and maintains metadata standards, taxonomies, vocabularies, and naming conventions.
• Establishes quality-review criteria for assets and ensures required metadata is captured before publication.
• Plans audits of asset collections to identify and remediate duplicates or obsolete items.
• Leads ingestion and rationalization of legacy asset collections with cross-team coordination.
• Defines distinctions among working files, final assets, restricted materials, and archival records.
• Maintains rights-related metadata and supports licensing questions with Legal and Communications.
• Ensures accuracy of employee profiles and project content in the DAM ecosystem.
• Troubleshoots data flows between the DAM and connected systems; serves as a point of contact for vendors.
• Designs and delivers user training and creates guides and workflows.
• Analyzes DAM adoption, usage, and data quality; translates insights into improvements.
• Recommends and implements taxonomy and workflow improvements; supports enterprise users
• Mentors junior team members and contractors as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
