Job summary

Slate seeks a Digital Asset Management Specialist in Troy, MI to own our brand asset ecosystem—photos, videos, motion graphics, documents, and digital design files. You will steward the DAM platform, ensuring assets are organized, tagged, discoverable, and distributed correctly across teams and partners.

You will drive evolution through AI-powered tagging, bulk metadata workflows, and PIM integration, while enforcing naming standards, licensing, and multi-language asset support.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in digital asset management, media operations, or related field.
• Hands-on DAM platform administration experience.
• Strong metadata structures and taxonomy knowledge.
• Familiarity with photo/video production formats and design assets.
• Experience with PIM platforms and data syncing to asset libraries.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the DAM platform, including taxonomy and metadata schemas and user permissions.
• Own asset ingestion workflows from shoots and design teams.
• Manage version history, check-in/check-out, and license/usage rights.
• Configure workflows and approvals; track asset status end-to-end.
• Collaborate with IT/legal on data governance and retention.
