Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years related experience or training.
• Medical Assistant program or LPN preferred.
• MA registry/certification or LPN license preferred (MI).
• Financial clearance: HS diploma and 1-2 years experience required.
• ProHealth: MA registry or LPN license required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Handle referrals with CPT/ICD-9 coding and medical terminology.
• Maintain strong computer skills and use Microsoft Office/Medic.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with patients and staff.
• Uphold confidentiality and customer service standards.
• Manage referral/work queues and schedule referrals.
• Collect billing and demographic information and obtain prior authorizations.
• Coordinate with offices, patients, and insurers; report delays/denials.
