Job summary

Christian Park Village in Escanaba, MI, seeks a Dietary Director to oversee the dietary department, supervise staff, and ensure meals meet residents’ nutritional needs and physician orders. You will manage budgeting, menu planning, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with nursing and dietary teams, and maintaining documentation for nutrition plans, MDS, and QA initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field is required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Dietitian in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• One to two years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.
• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
• Must meet state licensure requirements for a Dietitian (if applicable).
• ServSafe Certification or ServSafe certification within 90 days of employment.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the dietary department and supervises staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met.
• Oversees purchase of food and supplies within budget.
• Provides guidance on diet planning, menu formulation, preparation and service of diets.
• Ensures menus meet resident nutritional needs and physician orders.
• Maintains records and participates in QA surveys and care planning meetings.
