Job Overview

The clinical dietitian is responsible for the nutrition care of hospitalized patients, including nutrition assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, and nutrition education,

Qualifications

Required:

• RD or RD eligible Status.
• Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and successful completion of department specific orientation.
  
  

Preferred

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferred
  
  

Scheduling Requirements

• Per Diem
  
  

Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm

Position requires weekday availability and weekend coverage

Essential Functions

• Nutrition assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, and nutrition education
• Assesses patient nutritional status and needs, develops and implements patient nutritional care plans in accordance with physician s prescriptions and current nutritional practices and evaluates patient and family members on prescribed diet and nutritional information.
• Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span to provide appropriate nutrition care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients,
• Verbal and written ability is required to comprehend and document medical nutrition therapy, as well as communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team,
