Job summary

Bedford Care Centers seeks a supervisor to oversee meals and Dietary Services, ensuring compliance with Residents’ Diet Orders, menu specs, and company policies. You will monitor inventory accuracy and supplier orders while maintaining high hygiene and courteous communication with Residents and staff.

The role requires supervisory experience in large-scale kitchens, ability to obtain required certificates, physical fitness for routine tasks, and compliance with drug screening and background

Qualifications

• Prefer supervisory experience in large-scale cooking and food service.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any required certificates.
• Must be in good physical condition, read and write to accomplish job duties.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Responsibilities

• Promptly reports any suspected Resident abuse to Administrator.
• Maintains confidentiality of Residents’ and Employees’ PHI as required by HIPAA/HITECH.
• Immediately reports unattended Residents to the Nurse and assists as needed.
• Knocks before entering Residents’ rooms and respects Residents’ rights.
• Reports to Dietary Manager all complaints from outside Dietary Department that cannot be resolved.

Job Summary

Supervises overall preparation of meals and Dietary Services compliant with Residents’ Diet Orders, menu, specifications, Company Policies, Dietary/Sanitary Regulations under supervision of Dietary Manager; ensures high standards of quality for food preparation and service; ensures accuracy of grocery orders, inventory records and adequate inventory; must communicate courteously and respectfully with Employees, Residents and others; must maintain high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene

Qualifications

Prefer Supervisory experience in large-scale cooking and food service position; must be able to obtain and maintain any required certificates; must be in good physical condition, be able to read and write to accomplish job duties; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Equipment Used

Telephone, can opener, slicer, knives, mixer, stove, oven, deep fryer, coffee urns, steamer, pots, pans, blender and other kitchen equipment and appliances

Work Environment

Works in well-lighted, well-ventilated kitchen area on tile and/or concrete floor

Duties and Responsibilities
