Job summary

Bedford Care Center is seeking staff to assist with all Dietary operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving meals, cleaning kitchen and dishwashing.

Qualified applicants should have some experience in large-scale cooking services, be willing to undergo on-the-job training, and pass a drug screen with a satisfactory background check.

Qualifications

• Some experience in large-scale cooking services preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must read and write at a level sufficient to accomplish job duties.
• Must be able to pass drug screen.
• Criminal History Background Check satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Assists with checking in groceries, supplies and storing food.
• Assists in preparation, setup, and serving of meals, snacks, drinks, and loading food carts.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils and the dishwashing area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with checking in groceries, other supplies, storing food, other duties as instructed
• Assists in the preparation, set ups and serving meals, snacks, drinks and loading food carts
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, dishwashing area and any other areas in the Dietary Department or Dining Rooms as needed
• Assists in checking food trays for menu and diet accuracy and for Resident's preferences
• Assists with proper storage of foods and supplies and communication regarding food and supplies availability
• Assists with cooking, operating dishwasher or other duties as requested and/or assigned
• Delivers food carts to Nursing Stations for service of meals
