Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with all dietary operations, including food preparation, serving meals, and kitchen cleaning. You will support meal service across dining areas and help ensure food safety and quality for residents.

The role requires ability to read and write, previous experience in large-scale cooking is preferred, and you must pass a drug screen and background check. Training is provided on the job, and benefits are offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Some experience in large-scale cooking services is preferred.
• On-the-job training is provided.
• Must be able to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish job duties.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Responsibilities

• Assists with checking in groceries, other supplies, storing food, other duties as instructed
• Assists in the preparation, set ups and serving meals, snacks, drinks and loading food carts
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, dishwashing area and any other areas in the Dietary Department or Dining Rooms as needed
• Assists in checking food trays for menu and diet accuracy and for Resident’s preferences
• Assists with proper storage of foods and supplies and communication regarding food and supplies availability
• Assists with cooking, operating dishwasher or other duties as requested and/or assigned
• Delivers food carts to Nursing Stations for service of meals
