Job summary

Atlantic Specialty Care in Atlantic, IA, a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community, is seeking a Dietary Service Manager to lead our dietary team. This is a full-time, on-site role within our compassionate care environment.

You will oversee daily operations of the dietary department, ensure meals meet physicians' orders and dietary restrictions, supervise staff, manage food ordering and budgeting, and collaborate with other departments to support resident nutrition and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• State-approved Food Services Supervisor Course completed.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Experience in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets training.
• Healthcare dietary setting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including meal preparations, service, sanitation, and staffing.
• Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet physicians' orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans.
• Supervise, coach, and support dietary team members to promote quality service and teamwork.
• Manage food ordering, inventory, budgeting, and cost controls to ensure efficient department operations.
• Collaborate with department teams to support resident nutritional needs and satisfaction.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including meal preparations, service, sanitation, and staffing
• Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet physicians' orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans

• Documented completion of State-approved Food Services Supervisor Course.
• Certified Food Protection Manager and ServSafe® Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
