Job summary

Care Initiatives seeks a Dietary Service Manager to lead daily operations across more than 40 skilled nursing communities in Iowa. You will oversee meal preparation, service and staffing, ensuring meals align with physicians' orders and individualized care plans.

Lead a compassionate dietary team, manage food purchasing and budgeting, and collaborate with other departments to support resident nutrition and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• State-approved Food Services Supervisor Course completed.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Experience in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willing to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Healthcare dietary experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, including meal preparations, service, sanitation, and staffing.
• Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet physicians' orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans
• Supervise, coach, and support dietary team members to promote quality service and teamwork

• Collaborate with department teams to support resident nutritional needs and satisfaction.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet physicians' orders, dietary restrictions, and individualized care plans

Qualifications:

• Documented completion of State-approved Food Services Supervisor Course.

• Certified Food Protection Manager and ServSafe® Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
