Job summary

Senior-Solutions-Management-Group is seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor in Sugar Land, Texas to plan, organize, and direct the department operations in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and the facility's policies. You will ensure quality food service and nutritional care at all times.

You will maintain budgets, supervise staff, and work with the Administrator to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a food services industry.
• Recommended training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct overall operations of the Food Service Department.
• Maintain costs within budgeted parameters.
• Schedule department working hours, personnel, and assignments to maintain quality resident care with two-person staffing.
• Inspect the dietary area for regulatory compliance and report to Administrator.
• Interviews and assists in selecting food and supply vendors.
• Develop and utilize inventory control procedures and purchase food, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure stock levels of staples and supplies are maintained for department functions.
• Coordinate with team to prepare well-balanced meals per recipes for residents, guests, and staff.
• Refer residents at nutritional risk to the Registered Dietitian and follow up on recommendations.
