Qualifications

• Must have completed approved dietary manager’s course and hold all required certifications.
• At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility dietary department (preferred).
• Ability to lead a team and manage staff schedules.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead food preparation and ensure meals are safe and tailored to residents’ dietary needs.
• Supervise and schedule dietary staff, from hiring to daily oversight.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and keep kitchen compliant and efficient.
• Coordinate special meals and nutrition services with other departments.
• Maintain documentation, diet orders, and resident nutritional assessments.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and health regulations; prepare for inspections.
• Serve as the go-to person for audits and quality assurance.
