Job summary

Mountain View Post AcuteSNFWA in Ellensburg, WA seeks a Dietary Services Leader to manage meals for residents, ensure safety and quality, and keep dietary operations compliant with state and federal regulations. You will hire, train, and schedule dietary staff, monitor inventory and budget, coordinate special meals, and serve as the point person for inspections and audits.

Applicants should have an approved dietary manager's course and at least 1 year in a long-term care dietary department;

Qualifications

• Completed an approved dietary manager's course and holds required certifications.
• At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility dietary department (preferred).
• Able to lead a team and manage staff schedules.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing most of the day.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a bonus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead food preparation, ensure meals are safe, tasty, and meet dietary needs.
• Supervise and schedule dietary staff, including hiring and training.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and keep kitchen compliant and efficient.
• Coordinate special meals, holidays, and nutritional services with other departments.
• Maintain documentation, diet orders, and resident nutritional assessments.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and health regulations.
• Serve as the go-to person for inspections, audits, and quality assurance.
