Job summary

Westgate Villa Assisted Living in San Jose, CA, seeks a dedicated dietary aide to deliver meals to residents, following specific dietary requirements and schedules. You will assist with meal setup, maintain dining area cleanliness, and coordinate with kitchen staff and caregivers to ensure comfort and safety for residents.

Ideal candidates will have basic communication skills, be able to work flexible hours including weekends, and may hold certification in food handling or dietary services.

• Ability to follow detailed dietary instructions and safety protocols.
• Basic communication skills to interact respectfully with residents and team members.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or food items safely.
• Prior experience in food service or healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in food handling or dietary services.
• Experience working in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
• Knowledge of special diets such as diabetic, low sodium, or texture-modified diets.
• Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate service to elderly or disabled residents.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
