Stonebrook Health and Rehabilitation in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support meal service and food preparation for residents. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the facility's operations and patient-centered care.

You will assist the Dietician, kitchen staff, and caregivers to ensure meals are served safely, appetizing, and aligned with residents' dietary needs. The role emphasizes teamwork and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested.
• Help with meal preparation according to residents' dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing.
• Set up meal service and deliver trays and carts on time.
• Follow established portion controls and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
• Dishwashing and cleaning utensils; return dishes to storage.
• Dispose of waste per facility regulations and obtain next meal supplies.
• Follow safety regulations and report exposures to hazards.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested
• Helping with meal preparation in accordance with the dietary needs of the residents
• Assisting in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service and delivery of meal trays and food carts
• Following the established portion controls recommended
• Adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeping worktables clean, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dishwashing and cleaning of utensils
• Returning clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Carrying out of garbage
• Disposing of food and waste per facility regulations
• Obtaining food supplies for the next meal
• Following safety regulations and precautions at all times
• Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
• Adhering to all facility policies and procedures of the facility
• Maintaining confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
