Job summary

Stonebrook Health and Rehabilitation in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation, meal service, and sanitation in accordance with facility policies. You will work under the supervision of the dietician and dietary management to ensure residents receive nourishing, appetizing meals.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety guidelines, confidentiality, and a team-focused approach to support residents’ nutrition and comfort in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested
• Helping with meal preparation in accordance with the dietary needs of the residents
• Assisting in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service and delivery of meal trays and food carts
• Following the established portion controls recommended
• Adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeping worktables clean, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dishwashing and cleaning of utensils
• Returning clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Carrying out of garbage
• Disposing of food and waste per facility regulations
• Obtaining food supplies for the next meal
• Following safety regulations and precautions at all times
• Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
• Adhering to all facility policies and procedures of the facility
• Maintaining confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
