Job summary

MADO Healthcare Uptown is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee meal preparation, service, and clean-up in accordance with city and state regulations. The role also covers orders, resident assessments, staff scheduling, and documentation for the Dietary Department.

The ideal candidate will lead dietary staff, support the Registered Dietitian with policy updates and menu planning, conduct nutrition education for clients, and participate in IDT meetings to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current City & State Food Service/Sanitation Certificate required.
• Certified Dietary Manager Course (CDM) required.

Responsibilities

• Complete all food & supply orders for the Dietary Department.
• Maintain all dietary records, including orders, schedules, diet changes, meal tracking, logs, etc.
• Daily checks of menus to ensure next-day ingredients are available.
• Assist the Registered Dietitian in policy writing/revisions and menu planning.
• Interview clients to incorporate food preferences into menu planning.
• Encourage adequate food & fluid intake; notify nursing staff of concerns.
• Attend treatment plan meetings with the interdisciplinary team (IDT).
• Conduct educational groups on healthy living and nutrition; track attendance.
• Review and approve payroll bi-weekly for the Dietary Department.
• Provide leadership and training to dietary staff to ensure quality, safety, and service.
