Job summary

MADO Healthcare Uptown is seeking a Dietary Manager to lead the dietary department in ensuring compliant meal prep, service, and documentation. You will manage orders, records, schedules, and policy updates.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Registered Dietitian, planning menus with client preferences, and supervising dietary staff to uphold food safety and quality standards. This full-time role follows IDPH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have no disqualifying criminal offenses per state health dept.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and nutrition knowledge required.
• Current City & State Food Service/Sanitation Certificate.
• Certified Dietary Manager Course (CDM) required.

Responsibilities

• Complete all food and supply orders for the dietary department.
• Maintain all dietary records, including logs and schedules.
• Check daily menus to ensure items are available for the next day.
• Assist the Registered Dietitian in writing or revising dietary policies and menu planning.
• Interview clients to incorporate their food preferences into menu planning.
• Encourage adequate food and fluid intake and notify nursing staff as needed.
• Attend treatment plan meetings with the IDT and clients.
• Conduct educational groups on healthy living and nutrition; maintain attendance records.
• Review payroll bi-weekly for the Dietary Department.
• Provide leadership, education, and guidance to dietary staff.
