Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a Nutrition Services Manager to oversee the dietary department, ensuring nutritionally appropriate meals and compliance with regulations. You will supervise staff, train personnel, and coordinate nutrition care with the Registered Dietitian and facility leadership.

You will manage purchasing, budgeting, and documentation, while maintaining high food safety standards and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support resident health and care plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Trained as a CDM, CFPP, or a Dietetic Technician, registered (DTR), or equivalent training.
• Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Food service supervisory experience; long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of nutrition service within the dietary department.
• Provide leadership to ensure food quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate nutrition care under the direction of a Registered Dietitian and Administrator.
• Plan purchases using forecasts, inventories and records; liaise with purchasing.
• Contribute to department budget planning and monthly reporting within budget.
• Communicate with RD, dietetic staff, nursing, residents and families.
• Train staff on dietary equipment and oversee maintenance.
• Complete the required MDS section on schedule.
• Participate in care conferences and development of baseline care plans.
