Job summary

Journey is seeking a Dietary Manager to lead the dietary department, oversee meal planning, regulatory compliance, and team performance in a long-term care setting. You’ll ensure safe food service, maintain quality, and manage daily operations to support residents’ nutritional needs.

You will motivate and develop staff, collaborate with facility leadership, and uphold safety standards while driving continuous improvement and cost-effective service delivery across the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDM certification and state requirements as applicable.
• Supervisory experience in food services in institutional long-term care or hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of the dietary department while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment while ensuring nutritionally balanced meals meet regulatory and dietary guidelines.
• Lead and develop the dietary team, collaborate with facility staff, and manage budgets and operational goals.
