Job summary

Fairlane Senior Care & Rehab in Detroit seeks an Assistant Dietary Manager to support the dietary department. You will work with the dietitian to ensure high-quality nutritional services and oversee inventory, budgeting, and equipment maintenance on a daily basis.

The role requires a CDM certification, a high school diploma, and at least 3 years of related experience, preferably in a long-term care setting; strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
• At least 3 years of related experience in a food service department; long term care/health care facility experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with the dietitian to provide quality nutritional services.
• Ensure that appropriate levels of food supplies are available.
• Order supplies in a cost-efficient manner as needed.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and, with the Administrator, order replacement equipment.
• Develop and administer the department budget.

The Assistant Dietary Manager assists in planning, organizing and developing the overall operation of the dietary department in accordance with current state, federal, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This position is responsible for ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis, and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

How you will help people every day:
