Job summary

Fairlane Senior Care & Rehab is hiring an Assistant Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in alignment with state, federal, and local standards. You will ensure daily quality nutritional services, maintain a clean and safe environment, and collaborate with the dietitian and administrator to manage staffing and budgets.

The role requires a CDM certification, a high school diploma, and 3+ years in food service, preferably in long-term or health care settings.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of related experience in a food service department; long term or health care facility experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and commitment to delivering compassionate care.
• Team-oriented and able to support colleagues to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Work with the dietitian to provide quality nutritional services.
• Ensure appropriate levels of food supplies are available.
• Order supplies in a cost-efficient manner as needed.
• Maintain equipment and, with the Administrator, order replacement equipment as necessary.
• Develop and administer the department budget.

The Assistant Dietary Manager assists in planning, organizing and developing the overall operation of the dietary department in accordance with current state, federal, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. How you will help people every day:
