Job summary

CareCore at Westmoreland is seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing food service operations, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance within a healthcare or long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification is required.
• Experience in dietary or food service management is required.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience is strongly preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, therapeutic diets, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead a team while staying hands-on with daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and support dietary staff.
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and department costs.
• Collaborate with the Dietitian and nursing team to meet resident dietary needs.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to prescribed diets and resident preferences.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards; ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Maintain survey readiness and required dietary documentation.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing dietary team members.
• Promote a positive dining experience for residents.

Requirements
