Position Summary

The Dietary Manager will oversee the food service operations at one of our skilled nursing facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality meal service, and a positive dining environment for residents. This role is perfect for a motivated leader with a passion for nutrition, food safety, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct daily dietary department operations
  • Ensure menus meet residents’ nutritional needs in accordance with physician orders, state, and federal guidelines
  • Oversee meal preparation, service, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and sanitation
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability
  • Maintain inventory, order food and supplies, and manage department budget
  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team to accommodate special diets, allergies, and texture modifications
  • Conduct routine kitchen inspections and maintain compliance with food safety regulations
  • Participate in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential or willingness to obtain within required timeframe
  • Previous leadership experience in dietary/food service management (healthcare or SNF experience strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families
