Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Moon Township, PA, is seeking a Cook to prepare meals according to approved menus and resident dietary needs, while ensuring efficient kitchen operation.

You will maintain a clean work area, supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director, monitor temperatures, and participate in staff in-services.

The role requires Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain, ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining services in a senior care setting.
• Serv-Safe certified or willing to complete within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Report faulty equipment and temperature concerns to supervisor, with proper recording.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
