PACS is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals for residents following menus, ensure sanitation, and work with dietary staff to meet special diets.

Responsibilities include recording temperatures, preparing pureed foods, assisting with serving, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role requires teamwork and reliability in a hospital or long-term care setting.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least one year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.

Aufgaben

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, clean, and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals per prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
• Assist with serving meals and maintain sanitation.
• Report care concerns to Administrator or Director of Nurses.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
• In absence of Dietary Supervisor, supervise and coordinate related tasks.
• Presentation of food to residents and teamwork with all departments.
