Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. You will prepare meals that align with residents' nutritional needs, supervise dietary functions when managers are away, and help ensure timely tray service and proper kitchen cleanliness.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic English literacy, and prior cooking experience. Knowledge of diet requirements and portion control is valued in a busy healthcare kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or ability to read/write English.
• Experience in cooking at scale is preferred.
• Knowledge of special diets, temperatures and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary functions in the absence of leadership.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of meals with attention to nutrition and presentation.
• Assist with tray service and cleaning to maintain a well-organized kitchen.
• Accurately document meals and dietary records as directed.
