Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook for a nursing facility. You will prepare and portion meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring high presentation and adherence to standardized recipes.

Responsibilities include supporting the Dietary Manager, maintaining kitchen sanitation, managing inventory, and accommodating special events. PTO and insurance benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing meals in a nursing facility.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards.
• Ability to manage inventory and assist with purchases.
• Flexibility for special events and facility functions.

• Meal preparation & culinary excellence: accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals following standardized recipes.
• Plating & presentation: plate and garnish all cooked items for attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership support: act as liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen sanitation: maintain high sanitation standards by cleaning the kitchen and equipment before and after service.
• Inventory & recipe management: manage inventory, stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special events: flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
