Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions at The Blossoms at Woodland Hills Rehab and Nursing Center seeks a skilled Dietary Cook to join a high-volume nursing facility kitchen. You will prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plate dishes attractively, and support the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure smooth meal delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, portion, and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following recipes.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
