Job summary

Lakeview Personal Care is seeking a Cook responsible for preparing meals in accordance with current standards and policies. You will work under the Head Cook and Director of Food Services to assure quality food service for residents.

You will review menus, prepare meals to diet orders, and coordinate with the dietitian to implement changes. The role requires leadership, teamwork, and adherence to safety and sanitation policies within a hospital or long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Sanitation certificate such as SafeServ is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate dietary staff.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to meal preparation.
• Inspect special diet trays for accuracy per diet orders.
• Perform administrative duties and submit reports to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as needed.
• Work with the facility's dietitian and implement changes as required.
• Ensure dietary procedures follow established policies and procedures.
• Assist in standardizing work methods and maintaining menus.
