Job summary

Lakeview Personal Care seeks a Cook to prepare meals per planned menus and standardized recipes while ensuring safety, proper temperatures, and sanitation in the resident dining area. You will review menus, coordinate with dietary services, and assist in maintaining a clean, orderly kitchen to support high-quality resident meals.

The role requires a high school diploma and sanitation training; previous dietary or food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education.
• Must possess sanitation certificate (SafeServ).
• Experience with dietary procedures and kitchen safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Review menus prior to preparation of food and ensure correct diet orders.
• Ensure food safety, temperature logs, sanitation, and proper food storage.
• Assist in coordinating dietary service with other departments and with the facility dietitian as needed.
• Represent the department by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen area.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties and maintaining inventory.
