The role requires preparing tasteful meals for residents in a hospital/long-term care setting, following menus and portion controls, and maintaining safety and sanitation.

You will record temperatures, prepare special diets, supervise dietary staff when needed, and support residents with appealing presentations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Ability to follow prepared menus and portion-control guides.
• Ability to present appealing meals to residents.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals according to menus and portion controls.
• Record food temperatures and ensure safety standards.
• Maintain clean, sanitary cooking areas and equipment.
• Assist with serving meals and presentation.
• In absence of Dietary Supervisor, supervise kitchen staff.
