11A-7P

Must be able to work every other Weekend

  • Follows recipes and procedures as provided by Chef and/or Director.
  • Prepares all foods, which may include meat entrées, vegetarian entrées, vegan entrées, vegetables and starches.
  • Meets serving time requirements.
  • Responsible for pre-preparation related to upcoming food demands.
  • Maintains food quality and appearance standards that meet customer and supervisor expectations.
  • Maintains proper sanitation guidelines as set by sanitation training, policies, and procedures.
  • Records and maintains production record book with accuracy.
  • Checks and records temperatures on all hot and cold items.
  • Ensures that all food is properly handled, wrapped, labeled, and dated.
  • Checks with supervisor before discarding any food products.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic food service knowledge. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Summary/Objective
The Cook is responsible for providing residents at The Cedars, Inc. with a consistently high-quality dining experience. The Cook will prepare a variety of foods from scratch ingredients and according to The Cedars standards and expectations.
