Essential Functions of Dietary Cook:

• Determine types and quantities of ingredients based on planned menus and prepare timely
• Order supplies and maintain inventory, notifying supervisor of shortages
• Consult with dietitian on modified diets
• Supervise dietary staff during food preparation
• Train and orient new dietary staff
• Prepare food according to recipes and serve according to diet orders
• Ensure food safety and infection control practices
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen
• Support resident safety and healthcare standards

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Flexible scheduling, including 24-hour operation
• Must maintain a valid email and phone contact
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice required
