Job Summary

We are hiring a Full-Time Evening Cook to join our dietary team at a skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for preparing and serving meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs while ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals according to menus and dietary guidelines

  • Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and food temperatures

  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

  • Maintain a clean kitchen and assist with routine cleaning tasks

  • Prepare special diet and texture-modified foods

  • Assist with food storage, labeling, and inventory

  • Support the dietary team to ensure timely meal service

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

  • 2+ years of cooking experience in large-scale or healthcare settings (preferred)

  • Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and infection control

  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work evening hours consistently
