Job summary

Plum City Care Center seeks a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our team of caregivers in a skilled nursing facility. You will prepare and cook family-style meals for residents and help manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Manager.

We value teamwork, patience, and a cheerful approach, and offer comprehensive benefits for full-time staff. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required; one-year institutional experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One-year institutional food service experience as a cook preferred.
• Prior experience preferred but not necessary.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition to supervisor or nurse.
