Plum City Care Center in Plum City, WI seeks a dedicated Dietary Cook to prepare and serve family-style meals for residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will help ensure meal quality and safety while supporting the dietary team in daily operations.

In this full-time role, you will work under the guidance of the Dietary Manager, supervise non-supervisory staff in their absence, and contribute to a respectful, compassionate dining experience for residents.

Formación

• Prior experience in institutional food service preferred.
• One-year institutional food service experience as a cook preferred.
• Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, and willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must relate information concerning a resident's condition to supervisor or nurse.

The Dietary Cook’s primary duties include preparing and cooking family style meals for residents of skilled nursing facility. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of non-supervisory employees in the absence of the Dietary Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Prior experience preferred but not necessary.
• One-year institutional food service experience as a cook preferred.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition to supervisor or nurse.
