Job summary

Maple Lawn is seeking a positive and energetic cook to join our Dietary team. You will prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for residents and support a wonderful dining experience in our community kitchen.

Responsibilities include portioning meals, ensuring food safety, handling equipment safely, and assisting with kitchen cleaning. Candidates should follow directions, read and write basic English, attend scheduled shifts, and have knowledge of kitchen equipment.

• Set up and take down dining areas and assist with cleaning of kitchen, appliances and dishes.
• Perform other duties related to food and nutrition as assigned.

• - Prepare texture‑modified and therapeutic diets safely and accurately
• - Serving food ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
• - Use appropriate tools when preparing/serving food and recording temperatures of the food.
• - Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols.
• - Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with general cleaning of kitchen, appliances and dishes
• - Other duties related to food and nutrition as assigned
