Job summary

The CareOne Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Greater Pittsburgh Greensburg is hiring a Cook for our Greensburg, PA facility. You will prepare meals in accordance with standards and procedures to ensure quality food service for Residents.

The role requires the ability to cook large quantities, high school diploma, and preferably 1 year of dietary experience in a medical facility. SER-SAFE certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with federal, state and local standards and facility procedures.
• Follow menus and recipes to ensure quality and safety.
• Support Head Cook and Food Services Director as directed.

The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
