Job summary

CareOne in Cresskill, NJ is hiring a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state and local standards while following our established policies. You will contribute to the signature dining program and ensure high-quality, balanced meals for residents.

The role requires ability to read and follow recipes, work in a team, and provide friendly customer service. A high school diploma and prior dietary experience are preferred; bilingual candidates are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or related medical facility, preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as directed by Head Cook/Director of Food Services, to assure quality food service.
• Follow established policies and procedures to maintain consistent dining standards.
• Collaborate with the care team to support residents with nutritious meal options.

Salary Range - $17.00 to $25.00 per hour

The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.
