Job summary

CareOne in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in alignment with federal, state, and local standards and CareOne’s dining program. You will support the Head Cook and Director of Food Services to ensure high-quality food service for residents.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of dietary experience (preferred), ability to cook large quantities, fluent English, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or related medical facility preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with applicable standards, policies and procedures.
• Cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow Head Cook/Director of Food Services directions to ensure quality service.

The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility, preferred
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Strong customer service skills.
