Job summary

Vancrest Health Care Centers in New Carlisle, Ohio is seeking a Dietary Aide to support nutritious meals and dining experiences for residents. Wages start at $11 per hour and go up with experience, with final rates determined by the hiring manager.

Duties include reviewing menus before preparation, inspecting diet trays, submitting required forms to the Director of Food Services, coordinating with dietitian and dietetic staff, following dietary procedures, assisting with production and

Responsibilities

• Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.
• Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Working with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.
• Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.
• Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
• Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
