Job summary

Vancrest Health Care Centers in Troy, OH is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our resident meals program. You will review menus prior to preparation, inspect diet trays for accuracy, and coordinate dietary service with other departments to maintain quality and nutrition.

Wages start at $14 per hour and are determined by the hiring manager at an interview. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Must be able to work shifts listed, including every other weekend (Sat & Sun).

Responsibilities

• Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.
• Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Working with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.
• Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.
• Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
• Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary.
