Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Dietary Service Associate to guide patients through meal selections, verify tray accuracy, and ensure patient satisfaction in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assembling trays per therapeutic diets, coordinating with nursing staff, and maintaining a clean, compliant work environment. Weekend/long shifts may apply; prior food service and safety knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• English required to communicate with patients and team.
• Experience interacting with customers in person or over the phone.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Basic familiarity with common software/hardware used in patient services.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the meal ordering process using a computerized diet office system.
• Verify patient identifiers during meal delivery and ensure tray accuracy.
• Ensure patients have what they need before leaving the room and support a positive dining experience.
• Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns.
• Assemble and deliver trays according to dietary guidelines and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment; comply with safety standards.
