Job summary

Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Tampa is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in the kitchen. You will learn routine tasks quickly, set up meal trays, and assist with serving meals while maintaining sanitary conditions.

The role includes checking dishwasher temperatures, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments, and helping with kitchen cleaning. A food handlers’ certificate is required or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios).
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record sanitizer/temperature readings for dishwashing.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain floors.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Participate in staff training and orientation.
