Job summary

Volare Health is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support our kitchen and dining teams in Oregon. You will assist with food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean, sanitary conditions for residents and staff.

The role requires English proficiency, a Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification, and the ability to follow directions. Weekend/holiday availability may apply, with pay between $20.36 and $26.14 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Must relate positively to residents and work cooperatively with others.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background check and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure accurate serving portions and food items on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure appropriate serving utensils are used and temperatures are logged and reviewed prior to tray-line.
• During tray line, ensure trays are garnished, neatly arranged, and silverware, cups and dishes are clean.
• After tray-line, record excess/shortage preparation and discuss with the supervisor.

Schedule: Part-Time (Hours/shifts will vary, weekends/holiday availability, days, and evening shifts)

Pay:$20.36-$26.14/HR (DOE)

• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.

• Ensure that appropriate serving utensils are used; ensure that temperatures are within standards (all temperatures are logged and reviewed prior to tray-line).
• During the tray line, ensure that the trays are garnished, neatly arranged, silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and plate covers are dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage preparation, discuss with the supervisor.
