Corvallis Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a dependable Dietary Aide to join our team in Corvallis, Oregon. Pay ranges from $20.36 to $26.14 per hour (DOE). You will assist in food prep, serving, and maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas while ensuring proper temperatures and portions.

Qualifications include ServSafe/food handler certification, English reading/writing ability, and strong patient/resident relations. Drug screening and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification per state requirements.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Must relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with staff.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure accurate serving portions and food items on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure appropriate serving utensils are used and temperatures are within standards (temperatures logged and reviewed prior to tray-line).
• During tray line, ensure trays are garnished, neatly arranged, with silverware, cups, and dishes clean and plate covers dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage preparation and discuss with supervisor.

• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
