Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen operations in a post-acute healthcare setting. You will learn food service routines quickly, set up meal trays, and assist with serving while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, checking equipment temperatures, and assisting with training of dietary staff. High school diploma and a food handlers' certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness (sweeping/mopping).
• Prepare nourishments and snacks and carry out trash disposal.
