Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support meal service and kitchen operations. You will learn the routine quickly, set up trays, assist with serving, and help with dishwashing while maintaining sanitary conditions and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork across departments and ongoing staff training, with responsibilities including monitoring dishwashing processes and helping with food preparation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff across departments.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Check and record dishwashing water temperatures and chlorine levels.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Contribute to orientation and training of dietary staff.
